Founder and clinical director of Metamorphosis, Catalina is an experienced psychotherapist, as well as a supervisor and trainer in Emotion-Focused Therapy supporting adults and couples with depth, presence, and humanity.

Catalina is an integrative, humanistic psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience supporting adults and couples. Her clinical work is rooted in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), feminist therapy, mindfulness, and the profound wisdom of the body. She is a certified EFT trainer and supervisor recognized by the International Society for EFT (ISEFT) and offers clinical mentoring to the Metamorphosis team.

Catalina’s multicultural upbringing between Chile and Canada shaped her deep sensitivity to cultural identity, transitions and the sense of belonging. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from York University (Toronto), where she trained with one of the founders of EFT, Dr. Leslie Greenberg. Her research has focused on forgiveness and emotional healing in couples, as well as on exploring the process of change in psychotherapy.

A lifelong explorer of inner and outer landscapes, Catalina is also a certified yoga teacher who is fascinated by the mind-body connection. Her yoga journey has taken her from the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, India to completing her advanced yoga teacher training with Radical Darshan, a collective based in the UK focused on reclaiming the origins of yogic philosophy and practice and promoting diversity and inclusion in wellness.

Catalina is also interested in supporting individuals in the workplace, in particular those who hold marginalized identities and are in leadership positions. She offers coaching to help executives align their inner clarity with outer impact.

Catalina is a faculty member in the M.A. counselling program at Webster University (Geneva campus). She leads professional trainings and is committed to transmitting her clinical expertise and supporting the next generation of therapists and counsellors in their development.
