Counselor-in-training and certified coach, Hiroko aims to support expats in their professional, personal and relational challenges.
Hiroko is in her final year of the Master in Counseling program at Webster University in Geneva and is completing her final internship at Metamorphosis, under the supervision of Dr. Catalina Woldarsky.
Hiroko is originally from Japan and completed her Master’s in International Administration in the United States. She worked as an international humanitarian aid worker in Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia for over 25 years. Hiroko also had aid coordination roles in New York and Geneva.
In her coaching work, Hiroko realized that current unwanted behaviors and reactions are often reflections of unresolved past pains, and transformational change would most likely occur when properly revisiting and healing from these wounds. This realization made her pursue the counseling degree at Webster to expand her skills to help adults heal their wounds and thrive in their lives. Hiroko offers sessions in English, Japanese and Spanish and strives to create a safe, empathetic space for her clients to explore and reflect on their inner world.
