Working with Forgiveness in therapy

Facilitating Forgiveness in Emotion-Focused Therapy – webinar on May 21, 2026

Forgiveness is a powerful change process to promoting healing in therapy. When clients are able to work through unresolved anger, shame, and grief around having been injured or betrayed, a profound transformation becomes possible. Yet forgiveness is also poorly understood by many clinicians, who are unsure of how to facilitate it in-session.

On May 21st 2026, Dr. Catalina Woldarsky Meneses will be leading a webinar on Working with Forgiveness in Emotion-Focused Therapy, with the aim of guiding therapists through an experiential, evidence-informed approach to helping clients process emotional injuries and move toward healing.

This training is designed for therapists who want to:

  • Understand forgiveness from an EFT perspective
  • Help clients process unresolved emotional injuries
  • Empower clients to appropriately assign responsibility for harm done
  • Work more effectively with anger, shame, and grief
  • Learn practical interventions that can immediately be applied in clinical practice

Through video illustrations, and experiential role plays, participants will leave with not only new insights, but also concrete tools for facilitating meaningful emotional change with clients struggling to let go of past hurts.

Forgiveness work is delicate, nuanced, and profoundly human. Learning how to guide this process skillfully can transform your work — and your clients’ lives.
